Our story

Apex's local security company since 1990

Secur-Tek, Inc. is a locally owned security company in Apex, North Carolina. We have served homes and businesses across Central North Carolina since 1990.

We design, install and service home security systems and business security solutions. You get straight advice, a system built around how you live or work, and a professional installation by our own technicians.

Owner Ed Carey leads the company today, and co-founder Ken Henke is still part of the team. Your system is monitored 24/7 by Affiliated Monitoring, a UL-listed central station, with a Secur-Tek technician on call.

“Harmony Animal Hospital worked with Secur-Tek when they provided a security system for our new facility in 2018. Their service was excellent and their team provided a very high level of service, so when we were looking to open HARC, of course we went to them. When they offered to provide our new security system at HARC for NO CHARGE, we were absolutely floored by their generosity. Just like Harmony Animal Hospital and HARC are always there for our clients….Secur-Tek has always been here for Harmony. Thank you Secur-Tek for being one of our first partners at Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic!!”
