Home Security Systems in Raleigh and the Triangle
Wired or wireless alarm systems, video doorbells, cameras and smart locks. Installed by our own techs, monitored 24/7, and you own every piece of equipment.
Most calls start with one of these
A video doorbell lets you see and talk to whoever is there from your phone, wherever you are.
A doorbell plus a driveway camera shows who came up the walk, and when.
Monitored smoke and CO, door alerts, and an app you can check from your own home.
Wired contacts from the old system can often be reused, which keeps the cost down.
Consumer cameras are fine for a glance. Pro cameras are built to give you usable footage day and night.
We take over most existing systems and replace only what needs it.

Who answers when your alarm goes off
Your system is monitored by Affiliated Monitoring, with two mirrored centers in Union, New Jersey and Houston, Texas. The first available trained operator in either center takes the signal. A Secur-Tek technician is on call 24/7 behind them.
- UL listed. The center passes on-site audits against the UL 827 standard every year.
- TMA Five Diamond. An industry designation that requires every operator to complete TMA training and a commitment to reducing false dispatches.
- Faster dispatch where available. In participating areas, alarm details go computer-to-computer to the 911 center.
- Text alerts to your family. Emergency contacts can get a text and cancel a false alarm with a passcode.
Monitoring means trained operators respond to alarm signals. No one watches your cameras. Many insurers discount homes with a monitored alarm; ask yours what they offer.

Here's how switching to Secur-Tek works
Straight answers before you commit to anything.
- Check your current agreement first. Note the end date and cancellation terms so there are no surprises.
- Most panels from other companies are locked. That usually means a new panel. We tell you on the first call, not after.
- Wiring is often reusable. In wired homes, door and window contacts can usually stay, which keeps the cost down.
- After the switch, you own everything. And any company can service it.
The questions everyone asks
Isn't a Ring doorbell enough?
For seeing who's at the door, it can be. It won't call for help when a door opens at 2am, and it doesn't detect smoke or CO. Our systems pair a doorbell with a monitored alarm, and we can often keep a camera you already like.
Why pay for monitoring?
When an alarm goes off, trained operators at Affiliated Monitoring respond and send help, even when your phone is on silent. Many insurers also discount monitored homes; ask yours. Monitoring means responding to alarms. No one watches your cameras.
What if I move or cancel?
You own the equipment, so there's no lease to buy out. Packages carry a 12-month monitoring agreement, then go month to month. Systems bought a la carte at full price have no monitoring contract.
Why do your cameras cost more than store cameras?
Pro cameras are built to record clear, usable video day and night, and footage can stay on a recorder in your home. Store cameras are a good start. When the footage matters, the difference shows.

Your first 60 days in a new home: a safety checklist
